Think about it…
In Relativism, we’re told there is no real morality. No evil to resist. No transcendent good to aspire to. No Truth, just personal preference.

In Naturalism, we’re told that God is a delusion. A bronze age fairy tale that has been fully explained away by Science.

About ourselves, we’re told that to be human is to be nothing more than a highly evolved ape.

We’re told we don’t have souls. We aren’t eternal. We weren’t created. We aren’t for any purpose.

There’s no real hope. No real justice. No grand narrative.
As C.S. Lewis suggested in The Abolition of Man…
“In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”
So what is left then but to “do what thou wilt”?

To embrace hedonism. To live for the moment. To conclude that the only purpose of life is to enjoy the little you can for the few brief years you have…

What else could a society possibly conclude that has had nearly every drop of Beauty, Goodness and Truth squeezed out of it?
Maybe it’s our education system’s heavy focus on empirical knowledge that falsely leaves no room for spiritual or philosophical exploration?

Maybe it’s the lack of meaningful discourse within church communities that drives us to seek answers in places outside our faith?

Maybe it's the Sunday School explanations that are not holding up to the scrutiny students are facing in the classroom or adults are facing in the world at large

Maybe it’s the general cultural zeitgeist becoming increasingly hostile towards Christianity

Regardless, one thing has become abundantly clear to me (especially since starting The Daily Dose Of Wisdom YouTube channel last year)...
There is a massive number of Christians who have unanswered questions…

And are lacking the necessary wisdom in order for…

Questions to give way to deeper Truth, and…

Doubts to give way to richer Faith.

For those who don’t know…I went through a very significant period of deconstruction and doubt myself.

I was raised in a Christian home so I was familiar with all elements of Christianity.

But I never really had any depth to my Faith, and I didn't know how to walk with Christ. 

I lacked a rich and enduring relationship with God, despite seeing myself as ‘Christian’.

And by around 20 years old I couldn’t handle the dissonance any longer...

So I started wondering if I had just been brainwashed to believe whatever my parents believed in, or if I was just a byproduct of culture…
I questioned everything.

I spent over a year putting everything on the table that I was raised with, picking it all apart, and trying to figure out why I believed what I believed and if any of it was actually true. 

And slowly, as a process, something amazing happened…

God began to reveal himself to me in an increasingly undeniable way.
Through prayer, through reading, through older wiser people, through seeking His face alone at night on longs walks down the beach where God felt distant & I would howl up to a cold looking moon & cry out to God:

“If you’re really real, you’re going to have to make it real to me! I’m so sick of pretending at all this. Give me either all or nothing, but I just want to know the Truth about what we’re all doing on this planet! I don’t want to play games, I don’t want to be deceived. Give me all or nothing!”

And slowly, patiently, gently...

God began to reconstruct my Faith and He taught me how to have a relationship with Him.

He showed me his Glory and poured out his love in my heart & cleared the fog from my eyes so that I could see that, of course, God is ultimate reality.
But better than that, He taught me how to know Him. Not just how to have “Good Christian ideas”, but how to know Him.

Today, my relationship with God is by far the most precious and important part of my life.

So when I realized the amount of people that I know personally who have either “deconstructed” their Faith to the point where it is unrecognizable, or walked away from God completely…
I realized my experience was shared by many others.

We are facing a huge problem as a society, and even within the Church.

So, as a servant of God, in an attempt to help other people navigate through the same questions and doubts and emotions that haunted me…

I started “Daily Dose of Wisdom”.

One year and 600k+ subscribers later… I’ve had the immense privilege to connect with some of the brightest minds and leading experts today in Science, Mathematics, Philosophy & Theology who are also pointing people to Christ. It has been absolutely amazing! And an answer to so many prayers!

Why not have a space where we can connect those of you who are looking for more depth, more resources, more support, more time, in order for us as the Church to best face this extremely challenging cultural moment?
Even C.S. Lewis and JRR Tolkien had The Inklings!

If they saw the value in creating this type of space, then we should too, where we can...

Seek the truth in love, together...

Where we can face doubts head on, answer the difficult questions....

Sharpen each other like iron sharpens iron...
And ultimately, get equipped and contrite and emboldened to face whatever challenges may come our way…

This can be a place for you to get tough questions answered and to learn about what God has done in the lives of other society members. The only request I have is that people are treated with love and respect.
